Maritime Museum Aquarium – Interactive digital learning stations

The Challenge

When the Maritime Museum and Aquarium needed an innovative solution to create modern digital educational stations, they contacted our partner, who then chose to bring Quality Think on board as a technical partner. The challenge was to develop a stable and engaging platform that would offer visitors a deeply interactive and informative experience about the ocean’s cycle and the history of maritime transport. Physical museum environments place extremely high demands on the reliability of the technology, as the stations are used intensively by thousands of visitors of all ages every day. An educational solution was needed that was not only visually appealing but also sufficiently reliable, fast-loading, and intuitive to immediately capture and sustain the curiosity of both children and adults.

The Solution

Our partner handled the art direction, illustrations, script, and animation, while we at Quality Think were responsible for developing the platform for the digital learning stations. Using our expertise in modern digital technology, we created a custom web solution in WordPress. We focused on optimizing the back-end system to handle complex animations and interactive elements seamlessly and without lag. Our platform enabled visitors to explore and learn more about the ocean’s delicate ecosystems and the history of seafaring in a fun and engaging way. The interface was carefully adapted to work optimally on the stations’ touchscreens, making navigation simple and accessible to everyone.

The result

The launch of the new digital educational stations has been a huge success and a highly appreciated feature at the Maritime Museum and Aquarium. By successfully combining captivating visual storytelling with a robust and fast technical architecture, we have created an EdTech tool that makes complex marine biology and history both understandable and entertaining for the museum’s visitors.

Thanks to WordPress’s flexibility, the museum has also gained a stable and future-proof platform that is easy to manage and maintain over time.
