Bokförlaget Nona – Modern WooCommerce webshop
Our role has been to create a complete online store with clear book presentation, seamless navigation and a safe shopping experience.
RetailTech, or Retail Technology, is the technology behind retail—e-commerce, point-of-sale and store systems, warehousing and logistics, loyalty programs, and the data that ties them all together. RetailTech development means building and connecting these systems so you can meet your customers where they are: in-store, online, or somewhere in between. At Quality Think, we build solutions that create seamless customer journeys and drive sales with smart technology.
Do you have a vision for a better shopping experience, or a need to connect your store with your e-commerce platform? We love taking on complex retail challenges and transforming them into smart digital solutions that actually work in the real world. We’ve built workflows where purchases are made online and redeemed at the store’s checkout, with integrations to both e-commerce platforms and point-of-sale systems.
We’ve probably all experienced it—systems that crash during peak hours, registers that don’t sync with inventory, and digital experiences that fall short of expectations. We solve that. When we build retail solutions, we always put the customer and store staff at the center. Whether it’s building a new e-commerce platform or integrating POS systems, we make sure the technology always works for—not against—your business.
We aren’t tied to any one platform. The choice depends on how unique your workflows are and what systems the store needs to integrate with. If your product range is fairly standard and your integration needs are moderate, we often build using WooCommerce—you get a familiar interface to work with, low licensing costs, and a large ecosystem of payment and shipping solutions. If the requirements are more specific—with complex product information, custom business rules, or heavy integrations with systems you already have—we build a custom solution, often using Laravel and React. Standard platforms like Shopify can be the right choice when requirements are truly standard, but they also limit what you’ll be able to change down the road. The key is to make that decision before development begins, not after.
Yes, and that’s usually where the real work lies. An online store that doesn’t integrate with the rest of the business just creates duplicate work—products that have to be entered manually, inventory levels that fall behind, and orders that are moved manually between systems. We build API integrations with business systems, inventory and logistics systems, product databases, and the point-of-sale system, so that product information, inventory status, orders, and payments flow automatically in the right direction. For Tukan Förlag, we connected their e-commerce platform directly to their existing publishing and logistics systems, so that inventory status and orders are managed in a single workflow. If you have an older system without a ready-made API, we can usually find a solution anyway—just tell us what you’re using, and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
