How do you transform the digital presence of one of the Nordic region’s leading software companies in the construction industry and give them complete editorial freedom without compromising their visual identity? The answer lay in close collaboration between the client SmartCraft, the design agency Amply, and us as the technical partner. Together, we developed a custom, block-based WordPress platform for SmartCraft.
SmartCraft provides cloud-based systems that simplify daily life for tradespeople and construction companies, with the message “Make your everyday life easier.” They needed a website that reflected this philosophy: modern, fast, and above all, easy to manage internally.
The challenge was to create a technical architecture that gave SmartCraft’s marketing team maximum flexibility to build, modify, and expand their pages over time. The goal was also to keep the pixel-perfect, custom-designed concept intact and consistent in all situations.
As a technical expert partner to the design agency, we transformed their strong UX and visual concepts into robust code. Through close collaboration, we ensured that complex design elements rendered flawlessly on all screen sizes.
To combine complete design control with editorial freedom, we built the site from scratch in WordPress using dynamic blocks and a custom component library, rather than rigid page templates.
Complete design freedom: SmartCraft can now create unique landing pages and rearrange content in real time entirely on its own.
Design systems as a safety net: The design rules are embedded directly in the code, making it impossible for an editor to accidentally “ruin” the premium feel.
