The challenge
Given that the website’s use of Vue 2 and Nuxt 2 was facing an inevitable End Of Life (EOL) on December 31, 2023, the need for a comprehensive technical renewal became apparent. This deadline signaled a halt to all maintenance – including security fixes and updates to keep up with the evolution of browser technologies.
The solution
To tackle this challenge together with Gothenburg & Co’s agency, Quality Think initiated a comprehensive upgrade process where we were responsible for the technical part. Frontend renewal through a thorough update from Vue 2 to Vue 3 was carried out, which required a thorough review and adaptation of existing code.
